FA Competitive Saber Dueling Team
Star Wars enthusiasts can now experience being a Jedi—or the closest thing to it—through the official sport of saber dueling. Lightsabers, the iconic weapons of both the Jedi and the Sith, have captivated fans for years. Many have dreamed of wielding their unique lightsaber and testing their combat skills. Now, they can compete in an official sport to see how their dueling skills measure up.

Saber dueling has been recognized as an official competitive sport by the French Fencing Federation. The sport incorporates rules similar to traditional fencing but emphasizes wide slashes and sweeping motions, mimicking the moves of the Jedi in Star Wars. This sport is gaining popularity globally, with competitions and schools emerging in the United States and Europe.
We are a passionate group dedicated to bringing the joy of saber dueling to kids in our community. We are thrilled to announce the launch of the Full Armor Saber Dueling Competition Team!

We will provide an amazing opportunity for children to experience the thrill of seeing how well they could fight as Jedi Knights, as well as learn a self defense technique, safety, and build confidence in a fun and supportive environment.

Our Goal: We are aiming to raise $100,000 to make this dream a reality. Your generous sponsorship will help us cover the following:
Gym Facility Expansion: To accommodate the saber training team, we will be expanding our gym space into the adjacent area. This expansion will involve interior renovations and the installation of new floor matting.
Lightsabers and Equipment: Ensuring all children have access to high-quality gear.
Qualified Instructors: Hiring experienced instructors to provide safe and engaging training.
Safety Gear: Providing protective head gear and other safety equipment to ensure a secure environment.
Meals, snacks and Refreshments: Keeping the kids energized and hydrated throughout the competition events.
Transportation: Assisting with transportation costs for kids who need it to get to the events. Most competitions events will be out of town, so we will charter a coach bus for these events.
Child Scholarship Program: For that child who has the passionate desire to train and go on to compete, but does not have the means to do so... We will have a sponsorship program.

Why This Matters:
Many kids in our community don’t have access to the training or the resources to participate in competitive level activities. By providing the training and access to a competitive teamwork, we’re not only giving them a chance to learn a new skill but also promoting physical activity, teamwork, and a love for the sport. Saber dueling along with self defense techniques can be transformative experiences that boost confidence and foster a sense of achievement.
